limited edition prints

A selection of my favourite images are available to buy in a range of sizes. Images from A4 to A3+ borderless are printed on high quality photographic paper. A3+ 30mm border images are printed on fine art paper.

You can buy reasonable quality frames online from Amazon and Hobbycraft for £15 to £30. If you want a bespoke frame, Picture Frames Express charge £40 to £60 but they don’t mount the image. For the highest quality, take the print to a professional picture framer (search Google for local results). You will pay around £60 to £90.

Fine art prints are numbered (1 to 50) and signed in the margin with acid-free fine liner (light grey).

Handle prints with care – especially fine art prints.

    • This image was shot in July 2014 on the Nikon D7100 at 16mm, which is the equivalent of 24mm on a full frame camera. It looks fantastic on textured fine art paper. It's usually busy by the river in Chester so I was lucky to get the right conditions and no people.

    • This image was shot in October 2015 on the Nikon D7100. It wasn't the shot I was aiming for and I nearly missed it because I had my back to the sea. It's a 15 second exposure with a neutral density filter. The sea was already calm and the long exposure provided the glass-like texture. Thanks to the wonders of…

The conditions and light were near perfect with the first rays of sunset catching the bridge. It's one of my all time favourite shots of Chester and image #001 is…

    • A unusual salmon sunset over Chester's Business Quarter. I took four shots in the time available and this is my favourite. It was shot on the Nikon Z6 on the 24-70 at 48mm. The exposure time was 1/20 of a second at ISO 100. The shot was handheld, which shows off the Z6s incredible sensor stabilisation abilities. The image is…

    • The Wessenden Valley is a moorland valley in the Dark Peak, immediately south of Marsden in the English county of West Yorkshire. The name Wessenden derives from Old English and means the 'valley with rock suitable for whetstones'. fine art prints

Fine art printing is the term often used to refer to professional photographs being printed on very high quality paper. This designation, which is by no means a label, meets certain quality criteria, with regard to the paper.

The difference between fine art paper and normal photo paper lies in the composition of the paper itself. As a matter of fact, natural fibres (usually cotton or alpha cellulose) must be included within the composition of fine art paper. The paper is not artificially bleached with chlorine, thus ensuring that the photos stand the test of time. A major asset in the sphere of art photography!
