    • A rare shot of Chester without cars or people. It's actually 6 images stitched together in Photoshop to produce a stunning image in colour or black and white. The picture was commissioned for a bank that wanted to capture the essence of Chester. I also have a print on my wall.

    • This image was shot in July 2014 on the Nikon D7100 at 16mm, which is the equivalent of 24mm on a full frame camera. It looks fantastic on textured fine art paper. It's usually busy by the river in Chester so I was lucky to get the right conditions and no people.

    • Llandudno has never looked so vibrant in this sunset beach scene. The exposure time was 0.40 seconds, which is long enough to give the waves an ethereal feel.

    • This image was shot in October 2015 on the Nikon D7100. It wasn't the shot I was aiming for and I nearly missed it because I had my back to the sea. It's a 15 second exposure with a neutral density filter. The sea was already calm and the long exposure provided the glass-like texture. Thanks to the wonders of…

    • This image was shot in July 2014 on the Nikon D7100 with the 10-20mm lens at 10mm. The exposure time of 3 seconds was achieved with a neutral density filter. The conditions and light were near perfect with the first rays of sunset catching the bridge. It's one of my all time favourite shots of Chester and image #001 is…

    • A stunning picture of Chester at Salmon Leap - the Heron is real. This image took 9 attempts with exposure times ranging from 8 to 15 seconds. The Heron kept moving and spoiling the shot. It is one of my all time favourites of Chester.

    • A unusual salmon sunset over Chester's Business Quarter. I took four shots in the time available and this is my favourite. It was shot on the Nikon Z6 on the 24-70 at 48mm. The exposure time was 1/20 of a second at ISO 100. The shot was handheld, which shows off the Z6s incredible sensor stabilisation abilities. The image is…

    • The Wessenden Valley is a moorland valley in the Dark Peak, immediately south of Marsden in the English county of West Yorkshire. The name Wessenden derives from Old English and means the 'valley with rock suitable for whetstones'. The valley was formed by retreating glaciers at the end of the last ice age and continues to be cut by the…
